How Krillion scoring works
Each accepted answer lands in one of six tiers. The fewer players who would give it, the deeper the tier and the more points it earns. Your dive score is the sum of your seven answers, and your depth is that score times ten metres.

Checked against the game. The official how-to-play notes say "every point sinks you 10 metres. 700 is the trench" and "one dive per day. no second chances"; the results screen shows the score times ten as metres. Last reviewed October 16, 2026.
Score landmarks
What the same tier on every prompt adds up to, to put a total in context.
700. A dive has seven prompts and the top tier, One in a Krillion, is worth 100 points, so a perfect dive is seven 100-point answers. At ten metres a point that is 7,000 m, which the game calls the trench.
How is Krillion depth calculated?
Every point sinks you ten metres. A 60-point Rare answer takes you 600 m down; a whole dive of 455 points ends at 4,550 m.
What is a good Krillion score?
It depends on the day: a prompt with a short answer list may have no 100-point answer at all. As a rule of thumb, an average of 60 points a prompt (420 for the dive) means you reached Rare or deeper on most prompts, and anything past 595 needs Deep Cuts or better on every prompt.
Do Too Clever answers score less than Schooler?
Yes. Too Clever is worth 15 points, Schooler 30. Too Clever is the go-to "obscure" pick that turns out not to be obscure, so it sits just above Plankton.
Can I improve my score by answering again?
Not in the daily dive: it is one dive a day with no second attempts. Unlimited modes, including our own practice game, let you keep diving.
